The Artist in Mommy

Those that needed Mommy's services at the Manhattan Spa or at the Lake House, already knew She was a great artist.  She would refurbish old faces into prettier , life bearing self-expressions. She only had one shortage,  she was of romanian descent and not native American.  In a country with the most established anti-discrimination laws and statues, MOMMY was picked to bear the cross. People would many times unrecognize her talent and art to its greatest value,  because of it. Customers would disapreciate her work in pennies worth as she was born in a 3rd world country.  Politics didn't cut her a slate either.  Just because my life got better in Covid, could she be blamed for it? I was disappointed in people in those times. They seemed limited in sharpness but unlimited in evilness.  People were evil in covid times. Maybe there were evil period, but covid made it surface.  On the contrary me and Mommy tried to make the best of it. She started painting, mostly oil and mostly about me. We were kindred spirits so she must have known our time together was ticking.
