My Decline

 By October 2022 I was showing signs of ageing not enjoying the sun, beach or long walks any longer.  I even coughed blood. The veterinarian in portugal was very nice but couldn't figure out my state. By November I started with urinary tract infections , poorly treated by veterinarian, they really incapacitated me through the end of the year. In spite of my poor health me and Amara were playing and Sharing happiness.  Mommy was going through a difficult time not only with me but herself, her health was shaky too. I occasionally choked with food and during deep sleep my breathing would stop. We went to see 3 other veterinarians and none helped. Mommy had a suspicion about something growing in my oral cavity but no veterinarian could confirm it. I had good days and bad days. But I felt safe with Mommy by my side and always happy in Amara's embrace. Late January and February 2023 through mid March I was so much better! Mommy was home with me all this time and it showed.  I was free of respiratory problems,  free of infections of any kind, happy to walk with her and Amara and enjoy the sunsets of Albufeira.
