Farwell America!
I'm going to fast forward one year and talk about me and Amara in NYC and than our friendship with Charlie. By Thanksgiving of 2022 Mommy had sold the lake house and we were camped at the NYC apartment with central park views. Our long time friends Alex and Adita would walk us often to Central Park. Amara was again a joy to be around, always playful, caring, Entertaining . We were together and happy. I first met Charlie at the Lake house at my birthday parties. He was a quiet and proud cocker spaniel with beautiful curly hair. Shy and always by his mother's side , Charlie didn't really like to play with me but we were friends. He and his father moved out of New York after the passing of his mom. But now for Thanksgiving they returned for a visit so I got to see him again. He was his usual self, a bit absorbed by his ancestor's stories but always charismatic and enchanting to be around. The three of us were like the musketeers of Alexander Dumas. Different but alike, I was the lead barker while Charlie stayed in the back shy as a pie and Amara , the soul of the party. We only spent few months together but valuable time. We said goodbye soon thereafter as we were to relocate to Portugal. Charlie was saddened after mommy. She had really spoiled him with food and everybody knew Charlie loved chicken and stew. Charlie was a sweet boy and him and Amara came to build a great bond. Farwell America and Charlie!
